All aboard
At Polarzauber it becomes the Fondue Express and brings a piece of Davos Klosters right into Zurich. Inside there is fondue, and all around the lights sparkle. For a moment, the station feels a little less like everyday life and a little more like winter.
The red train stands in the middle of the station hall, with fairy lights and the Polarzauber lettering above the windows.

Fondue with a window seat
A three-course menu is served: salad, cheese fondue and dessert. You sit at laid tables between light wood and fir branches, glasses clink softly and the market passes by outside. From the window you look out onto the market huts and, from some seats, onto the Lindt Christmas tree. Fondue tastes best in good company, and that is exactly what the laid tables are for: sharing, talking and staying a little longer.
For groups, for the whole train
The Fondue Express is designed for groups of 20 to 88 guests and runs daily between 5 pm and 11 pm. Choose fixed reservation times or book the whole train, for a Christmas dinner with your team, a company party or a private occasion. Reservations at booking.polarzauber.ch.
A foretaste of the mountains
The real Davos Klosters feeling can of course only be found in the mountains. But here you already get a foretaste. And anyone who fancies real mountain air after the meal will find the right railway in Davos Klosters.

Right in the middle of the hall
Allow some time: before or after your meal, a stroll through the market with its huts, lights and scents is well worth it.
You will find the Fondue Express in the main hall of Zurich main station – you cannot miss it. Polarzauber runs from 19 November to 24 December 2026, with free admission. Reserve your seat on the train in advance. After that, only one question remains: cheese with bread or rather with potatoes?
